Considering Adoption?

You may think you are not ready to parent yet due to your circumstances, but having an abortion is not a choice for you – that’s okay! Adoption is another option to consider.

Making an adoption plan can be difficult when facing an unplanned pregnancy, but it can be a viable option for you. Adoption isn’t about “giving up” your baby but ensuring your baby is provided for and taken care of when you can’t do it yourself.

Types of Adoption

You have choices with adoption. There are three different plans to choose from: open, semi-open, and closed. You choose the plan that is best for you and your baby.

Open Adoption

With an open adoption plan, you choose the adoptive parents, receive pictures and information on your child, and sometimes even be a part of your child’s life.

Semi-Open Adoption

With a semi-open adoption plan, you can remain anonymous but still have contact. Your adoption coordinator handles all communication so you can stay in touch with your child, and they can learn about you. You can have peace of mind that your child is loved and safe.

Closed Adoption

If you would prefer to remain anonymous, choose a closed adoption. With this plan, your adoption coordinator selects the potential adoptive family. You would have no contact, and the courts seal the original birth certificate.

Adoption Referrals

Many families are ready to love, raise, and support a child. When you schedule an appointment at Relevant Pregnancy Options Center, we will walk you through the adoption process and answer any questions. We have resources and referrals to adoption agencies.
